Adriennes Yummy Choc Chip Cookies

This is one of our family favourites and are made all the time. You can always freeze half of the biscuits before baking them and then when you need more just cook them straight out of the freezer.  We always have some backup ones in the freezer which are great if you have unexpected school shared lunches or friends popping over for a cuppa.

 

Recipe Details

  • Servings: Approx. 35 biscuits

  • Preparation: 15 mins

  • Cook time: 20 mins

Ingredients

 

  • 1 ½ cups of icing sugar

  • 500g of butter

  • 4 ¾ cups of flour

  • 3 cups of chocolate chips

Method

 

  • Cream butter and sifted icing sugar in a large bowl.

  • Mix in flour and chocolate chips to the butter/icing sugar, the mixture will be quite crumbly.

  • With a tablespoon pick up some of the mixture (roughly 50g) and roll into balls press down with a fork.

  • Place on lined trays and place in the freezer to chill for about 20-30 minutes.

  • Pop them into a 170 degrees preheated oven and bake for about 20mins until golden.

Leave to cool and ENJOY!
