Nics Double Cheese Scones

I decided to make my own cheese scones because I love cheese as I was missing having a scone and coffee at a cafe since being in lock down.

  • Servings: Approx. 8 -10

  • Preparation: 10 mins

  • Cook time: 15 mins



  • 2 cups of flour 

  • 3 and 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp paprika 

  • 50g fridge cold butter 

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 rounded cups of tasty cheese 

  • 1 and 1/3 cups of Milk



  • Preheat oven to 200* Degrees

  • Combine the flour, baking powder, paprika and salt in a mixing bowl 

  • Grate in the butter then rub with your fingers to resemble coarse crumbs 

  • Mix in the cheese 

  • Make a well in the centre and pour in the milk, quickly mix with a knife to combine all ingredients.

  • Don’t over mix.

  • These scones do not require you to roll out and cut, simply drop large spoonful’s of dough onto a cold baking tray and bake for 15mins or until scones are golden and crisp.
