Nics Double Cheese Scones

I decided to make my own cheese scones because I love cheese as I was missing having a scone and coffee at a cafe since being in lock down.

Ingredients

2 cups of flour
-
3 and 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp paprika
-
50g fridge cold butter
-
1/2 tsp salt

2 rounded cups of tasty cheese

1 and 1/3 cups of Milk
Method

Preheat oven to 200* Degrees

Combine the flour, baking powder, paprika and salt in a mixing bowl

Grate in the butter then rub with your fingers to resemble coarse crumbs

Mix in the cheese
-
Make a well in the centre and pour in the milk, quickly mix with a knife to combine all ingredients.

Don’t over mix.

These scones do not require you to roll out and cut, simply drop large spoonful’s of dough onto a cold baking tray and bake for 15mins or until scones are golden and crisp.
