Demis All In One Pavlova

About This Recipe

I've always wanted to make a pavlova, but a lot of the recipes I've looked at seem insanely hard and complicated, until I found this 'all in one' recipe - which is SO easy and delicious! It's also extremely versatile, as you can make it your own by adding toppings to suit you and your family.

Recipe Details

  • Servings: Approx. 12

  • Preparation: 15 minutes

  • Cook time: 1 hour

For The Pavolva
  • 4 egg whites

  • 1 1/2 cups of caster sugar

  • 2 tbsp boiling water

  • 1tsp vinegar (I use malt vinegar and it's perfect)

  • 1tsp vanilla essence (or vanilla extract depending on what you have)

  • Approx. 3 cups of cream (depending on how much you want)

  • Fresh fruit (anything works perfect, I like to use strawberries and blueberries if they are in season. You can also use kiwifruit, banana and even tin fruits work amazing like tin peaches and blackberries!

  • You can even use ingredients such as passion fruit syrup, grated chocolate or berry compote depending on what flavour you're after!

  • Preheat oven to 140* degrees.

  • Add all ingredients into a bowl and beat with an electric mixer on high speed for 10minutes.

  • Heap onto a lined baking tray and bake at 140 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.  Reduce heat to 120 degrees and bake for a further 30 minutes.

  • Turn off your oven and leave the pavlova in there for an hour before taking it out.
Once the pavlova is out and you are ready to ice, whip the cream with an electric mixer and spoon onto the pavlova using a spatula. Then add your toppings, I usually drop the fruit on making sure it looks full.

  • That's it! An insanely easy recipe that has become my weekly bake and has never failed me!

As I said before, this is an extremely versatile recipe, as I have begun to try a few different versions. You can make individual mini pavlovas by spooning separate mix onto a lined baking tray and decorate individually.  I also played around with a Christmas wreath by putting a little bowl into the centre and put the mixture around it - which worked amazing!
